• Boss Cat 2002 East Coast Chardonnay for $13 and Tom Cat 2002 East Coast Merlot for $10, both from New Zealand. Since price/value is important to me, I feel there are many other value-priced wines, yet you shouldn't discount the entertainment value. There's a cute message on the Chardonnay cork –"This cat got all the cream!" – but none on the Merlot one. Now, if you don't finish a bottle and want to carry on the pet theme, you can use a "canine cork" or "feline bottle stopper" available in the most popular breeds. These can be found in any number of the wine enthusiasts catalogs or gourmet wine shops. Pet boutiques and on-line retailers also sell wine glasses with the pet motif. And did I happen to mention that there are no less than 30 pet-themed holidays every year? For example, February 21 is NATIONAL LOVE YOUR PET DAY; April 18 is PET OWNER'S DAY? April is NATIONAL PET MONTH; and June 8 is BEST FRIENDS DAY? What better way to toast our furry family members or pay tribute to the contributions that our four-legged friends make to our lives than with one of these unusual wines! Bone appetit! (Remember to drink responsibly and that animals and alcohol never mix.)
